Dandy's World is a co-op survival horror game on Roblox, made by BlushCrunch Studio and released in 2024. You and a few other players each pick a Toon, a little cartoon character with its own stats and ability, and descend floor by floor through a strange, colourful facility. On each floor you work machines to open the elevator while Twisteds, monstrous versions of the Toons, hunt you through the halls.
The Toons are the reason the game took off. Each one has a clear, simple design (a music box, a lamp, a teapot, a TV), a personality that comes through in a few lines of dialogue, and a Twisted form that turns all of that inside out. This page covers Dandy, the Main Toons, the rest of the roster, the seasonal event Toons and how the Twisteds work.

How Toons work
Every Toon has a rarity, a set of stats and at least one ability. Rarity sets the price in Ichor, the currency you earn by surviving floors; the tiers run from Common through Uncommon and Rare up to Main, with event Toons sold only during their season. Stats cover things like health, movement speed, stealth, stamina and how quickly the Toon works machines, so the roster mixes fast scouts, sturdy distractions and support Toons that keep the team alive.
Between floors you visit Dandy's Shop to buy items for the next run, and you can equip trinkets for small passive bonuses. Researching a Twisted, by encountering it and collecting capsules, unlocks more information about it. None of that changes the basic rule: finish the machines, reach the elevator, don't get caught.
Dandy
Dandy
Host and shopkeeper · Not playable
Dandy is a smiling flower with a ring of petals around his face, and the game is named after him. He runs the shop you visit between floors, greeting every Toon with the same relentless cheer. It's never quite clear whether he's a friendly host or the one keeping everyone trapped, and the game leans on that ambiguity. Fans spend a lot of time on theories about what he really wants.
The Main Toons
The Main Toons are the top rarity and the cast the game's art and story are built around. They're the most expensive to unlock, and most players work toward one of them first.
Astro
Main Toon · Crescent moon
Astro is a sleepy crescent-moon Toon in a nightcap, always half a step from dozing off. His ability helps teammates recover stamina, which makes him a support pick in long chases. He's one of the community's favourites, and his Twisted form is known as one of the most dangerous in the game.
Pebble
Main Toon · Pet rock dog
Pebble is a small grey rock shaped like a dog, the group's pet more than its teammate. Pebble barks rather than talks, and is quick on its feet. Its simple design and loyal energy have built a dedicated fanbase.
Shelly
Main Toon · Fossil enthusiast
Shelly is a cheerful, dinosaur-themed Toon who loves fossils and digging into the past. She's encouraging and curious, the kind of teammate who keeps everyone moving. Her ability is built around helping the group rather than surviving alone.
Sprout
Main Toon · Strawberry
Sprout is a strawberry-plant Toon who loves baking and looking after others. Sprout's ability is aimed at keeping teammates in the fight, which makes Sprout one of the most wanted support Toons. Sprout's close friendship with Cosmo is a running thread in the game's dialogue and the fan art around it.
Vee
Main Toon · TV head
Vee is a TV-headed Toon with the bright, scripted energy of a game-show host, and she treats the facility like her studio. Her ability gives the team information about what's around them, which makes her popular with players who like to plan routes. Her Twisted form turns her screen into something much less friendly.
All other Toons
These are the regular shop Toons, from the two free starters up to the pricier Rare picks. Most players collect these first while saving Ichor for a Main Toon.
Boxten
Starter Toon · Music box
Boxten is a shy, soft-spoken music box with a wind-up key, and one of the two Toons every new player can pick for free. He's dependable rather than flashy, a good first Toon for learning the floors. Many players keep a soft spot for him long after they've unlocked rarer picks.
Poppy
Starter Toon · Bubble wrap
Poppy is a bubbly Toon made of bubble wrap, and the other free starter. She's upbeat and easily excited, the opposite of Boxten's quiet nerves. The two are often paired together in fan art for exactly that reason.
Brightney
Toon · Lamp
Brightney is a lamp-headed Toon with a studious, slightly anxious personality. Her glow makes her especially useful on blackout floors, when the lights go down and seeing what's ahead matters most. She's a favourite of players who like to keep the team safe rather than run alone.
Cosmo
Toon · Pastry
Cosmo is a gentle, pastry-themed Toon who loves baking and sharing. He's Sprout's closest friend, and the two are one of the community's favourite pairings. He's kind and a little timid, a support character in personality as much as in play.
Finn
Toon · Fish
Finn is a fish-themed Toon with an easygoing, curious personality. He's one of the less talked-about members of the roster, but his design fits the game's habit of building each Toon around a single everyday idea.
Flutter
Toon · Butterfly
Flutter is a dainty butterfly Toon with pastel wings and a gentle, timid manner. She's one of the softest designs in the cast, which is exactly why her Twisted form unsettles people.
Gigi
Toon · Capsule toy
Gigi is built around a capsule toy machine, the kind that dispenses a random prize. She's playful and loves surprises, and her gacha theme suits a game where so much depends on chance.
Glisten
Toon · Mirror
Glisten is a mirror Toon who loves being looked at, vain, dramatic and very fond of his own reflection. Under the diva act he cares about the others more than he lets on. He's one of the more popular personalities in the shop.
Goob
Toon · Hugger
Goob is a soft, lanky Toon with long arms made for hugging, endlessly friendly and optimistic. He's Scraps's best friend. His wholesome personality makes him a fan favourite, and his Twisted form one of the saddest to see.
Looey
Toon · Balloon
Looey is a balloon Toon with light, bouncy party energy. He's one of the cheaper Toons in the shop and a cheerful presence on any team.
Razzle & Dazzle
Toon · Theatre masks
Razzle & Dazzle are a two-faced Toon based on the comedy and tragedy masks of the theatre. One side is upbeat, the other gloomy, and they share a single body and a single slot on your team. They bring a stagey, theatrical flair to the facility.
Rodger
Toon · Detective
Rodger is a detective Toon, methodical and always investigating the facility's secrets. Players who care about the game's lore tend to gravitate to him. His Twisted form is a regular sight on the floors.
Scraps
Toon · Arts and crafts
Scraps is a craft-project Toon pieced together from paper, tape and odds and ends. Scraps is creative and resourceful, and Goob's best friend. That handmade look is one of the most distinctive designs on the roster.
Shrimpo
Toon · Shrimp
Shrimpo is a grumpy little shrimp who hates almost everything and says so. He's deliberately weak as a playable Toon, which has turned him into one of the game's biggest memes. Fans love him precisely because he's so miserable.
Teagan
Toon · Teapot
Teagan is a polite teapot Toon with a warm, motherly streak. She's the one who calms everyone down, and her kit leans toward looking after the team. Her hospitable personality makes her stand out against the facility's dread.
Tisha
Toon · Cleaning enthusiast
Tisha is a cheerful, tidy Toon who loves cleaning and can't stand a mess. She's one of the most searched-for characters in the game, popular for her friendly design and upbeat dialogue.
Event Toons
Seasonal updates add limited-time Toons tied to holidays. They're sold only while their event is running, which makes them collector's pieces between seasons.
Bassie
Easter event · Basket
Bassie is an Easter-themed Toon built around a woven basket, with pastel colours and springtime trimmings. Bassie arrived with the game's Easter content and brightens up the floors whenever she's available.
Eggson
Easter event · Egg
Eggson is an Easter egg Toon from the same spring event as Bassie. It's a simple, seasonal design that fits the holiday theme.
Ginger
Christmas event · Gingerbread
Ginger is a gingerbread Toon with iced details, added for the winter holiday event, bringing a warm, festive look to the facility's halls.
Rudie
Christmas event · Reindeer
Rudie is a reindeer Toon from the Christmas event. Like the other seasonal Toons, Rudie is sold only while his event is live.
Gourdy
Halloween event · Gourd
Gourdy is a gourd-themed Toon added for Halloween, fitting neatly into the game's spooky season.
Other holiday Toons, such as Coal and Bobette from the winter event, follow the same pattern. New seasons tend to add more, so check the shop during each event.
The Twisteds
Twisteds are the enemies of Dandy's World. Almost every Toon has a Twisted counterpart: a darker, distorted version with the same silhouette, wrong eyes and a hostile streak. Twisteds wander the floors, react to noise and sight, and chase any Toon they notice.
The fun, and the fear, is that you recognise them. A Twisted Boxten still looks like Boxten. Twisted Astro is one of the most feared, and players learn to listen out for particular Twisteds by sound. Some have unusual behaviour that you only learn by meeting them, which is part of why researching Twisteds matters. Rarer, special Twisteds show up only on certain floors, which keeps long runs unpredictable.
Why the Toons caught on
Dandy's World follows a clear line from Five Nights at Freddy's through the wider wave of mascot horror: take something designed to be cute and show what's underneath. Its twist is that you play as the cute characters and run from their shadows. You get attached to Boxten or Sprout, then meet the Twisted version on the next floor.
- One idea per character. Every Toon is a single object (lamp, teapot, balloon, mirror) with a matching personality. It's the same principle good character design starts from, and it makes the roster easy to remember.
- Friendships give the cast texture. Sprout and Cosmo, Goob and Scraps, Boxten and Poppy: pairings give fans stories to tell beyond the gameplay.
- The memes do the marketing. Shrimpo's misery and Dandy's grin spread well beyond the game, much like the Italian brainrot characters or Skibidi Toilet did.

Frequently asked questions
How many characters are in Dandy's World?
The playable roster has grown past 30 Toons through regular updates and seasonal events, and almost every Toon also has a Twisted counterpart that acts as an enemy. Event Toons come and go from the shop, so the number you can actually buy at any moment is smaller than the full list.
Who are the Main Toons in Dandy's World?
The five Main Toons are Astro, Pebble, Shelly, Sprout and Vee. They're the highest rarity in the shop, the most expensive to unlock with Ichor, and the characters the game's story and promotional art are built around. Dandy is central too, but he isn't a playable Toon.
What are the starter Toons in Dandy's World?
Boxten, the shy music box, and Poppy, the bubbly bubble-wrap Toon. New players pick one of them for free; the other can be bought later with Ichor like the rest of the roster.
Is Dandy playable in Dandy's World?
No. Dandy is the flower-headed host who runs the shop between floors, where you buy items for the next run. He's the face of the game and its biggest mystery, but you can't pick him as a Toon.
What are Twisteds in Dandy's World?
Twisteds are dark, corrupted versions of the Toons that roam each floor and attack on sight. They usually share their Toon's look and some of their personality, warped into something hostile. Avoiding them while you finish the floor's machines is the core of the game.
Is Dandy's World based on FNAF?
It isn't connected to Five Nights at Freddy's, but it belongs to the same mascot-horror tradition: cheerful cartoon characters with something wrong underneath. If you like the Toons, the FNAF animatronics are the genre's best-known example.
